Well I guess the feedback from the reunion show was so positive that the band decided to bring it into the 21st century and bring back their website from the dead. A long time ago they had a site on the young internet, but that has been down for years, and left the Xenon fans searching for a home. Well, now we have a home.
As for the reunion show, it was an absolute blast. I tried to get all philosophical and come up with this great literary piece that would try to explain the way I felt at the show, but my writing skills are lacking, and couldn’t do it justice. Lets just say that buried between the factories in Linden, in the shadows of the Goethals Bridge, with the New York City Skyline in the distance, there was an event that you just had to be at to truly understand. Some called it a Xenon reunion, but I think that for those in attendance it was more of a reunion with our collective pasts. It’s been a long time since the days that Xenon roamed the NJ/NYC clubscene. Enough time to grow up, get a job, get married, have kids, and yes forget where we came from. Sometimes it does a person good to relive those times, when things where fun and all was perfect (well maybe that’s just the way we remember it). So much has changed since then, and all we had to do that night is look up at the NYC skyline to remember the biggest change of all.
